Account Information: Email address, name, or authentication credentials when you sign in via Apple, Google, email, or phone number.
Audio Data: Audio from your device's microphone is processed for real-time speech-to-text transcription. Audio is streamed directly to our speech recognition provider and is not stored by Ovals.
Usage Data: Information about how you use the app, including session duration, features used, and subscription status.
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and optimization.

Audio Processing

Ovals processes audio in real time to generate captions. In Solo mode, speech recognition occurs entirely on your device — no audio leaves your phone. In Group mode, audio is streamed to a third-party speech recognition service for processing. Audio is not recorded, stored, or used for training by Ovals or our providers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and cloud functions
RevenueCat: Subscription management
Speech recognition providers: Real-time transcription (audio is processed and discarded, not stored)

Each service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.

Data Storage and Security

Your account information and usage data are stored securely using Firebase. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Transcription text from your conversations is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose to export it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt out of non-essential communications
Export your conversation history
